Saida Mirziyoyeva’s Visit to Kazakhstan: Key Meetings and Topics of Discussion
Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, paid a working visit to Kazakhstan, where she met with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and several senior Kazakh officials.
Meeting with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
During her meeting with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Saida Mirziyoyeva conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The parties highlighted the strong state of Uzbek-Kazakh relations and discussed the further development of strategic partnership and allied cooperation between the two countries.
Cooperation Between the Presidential Administrations
Special attention was given to cooperation between the presidential administrations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
During talks with the Head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, the sides discussed mechanisms for implementing agreements reached by the two heads of state, as well as prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.
The parties agreed to maintain close working dialogue and strengthen coordination in key areas of cooperation.
Meeting with Yerlan Karin
As part of the visit, Saida Mirziyoyeva also met with Kazakhstan’s State Counselor, Erlan Karin.
The parties discussed cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as ways to further strengthen ties between the societies of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
What It Means
Kazakhstan remains one of Uzbekistan’s key partners in Central Asia. In recent years, Tashkent and Astana have been actively expanding cooperation in trade, investment, transport, and humanitarian affairs.
Saida Mirziyoyeva’s working visit to Kazakhstan served as another indication of the two countries’ commitment to strengthening their strategic partnership and expanding cooperation at various levels.
