Uzbekistan unveils initiative to attract global tech companies
Uzbekistan has unveiled Enterprise Uzbekistan, the International Digital Technology Centre. The initiative is designed to serve as a new platform for international tech companies and attract foreign investment.

The presentation took place during a meeting between the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation and representatives of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), universities, and technology companies.
A key feature of Enterprise Uzbekistan is its special legal framework for technology businesses. The initiative is expected to incorporate elements of English common law and international commercial standards, making it easier and more predictable for foreign companies to operate in Uzbekistan.
The parties also discussed the participation of Hong Kong companies in ICT Week Uzbekistan.
The visit also included meetings with representatives of the HK FinTech Association, Gobi Partners, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, as well as with mobile game developer Gameloft and HKBN Enterprise Solutions. Discussions focused on artificial intelligence, fintech, cybersecurity, venture capital, and opportunities for Uzbek startups to expand into Asian markets.
