Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye Deepen Security Cooperation Following Ankara Talks
Representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye met in Ankara to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in security and law enforcement training. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening joint educational programs and enhancing coordination between their respective law enforcement agencies.
On July 6, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Türkiye Ruslan Kazakbayev, the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry’s representative in Türkiye Manas Amanbayev, and Ali Fidan, Head of the General Directorate of Security under the Turkish Ministry of Interior, held a working meeting in Ankara, according to the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry’s press service.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in public security. Participants outlined practical measures to protect the rights and legitimate interests of Kyrgyz and Turkish citizens while improving operational coordination between the two countries’ law enforcement institutions.
A key part of the talks was dedicated to professional training. The sides agreed to continue training Kyrgyz Interior Ministry personnel in Türkiye and expand joint educational initiatives. Priority areas include combating cybercrime, extremism, illicit drug trafficking, and improving capabilities for maintaining public order.
