More Than Friendship: Kazakhstan and Tajikistan Deepen Allied Relations

According to the treaty, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan will expand cooperation in trade, energy, agriculture, education, and other sectors.

The two countries also intend to strengthen security in Central Asia, including through joint military exercises.

The agreement provides for the creation of more favourable conditions for business and the development of coordinated approaches to the sustainable use of shared water resources.

In addition, the treaty formalises regular meetings of Central Asian leaders and promotes closer interparliamentary cooperation between the countries.
